Tutorial - Mixed Media Tag
We going to show you how to create Mixed Media Tag, using stamps
, along with pattern paper from My Minds Eye and
Stencils.
Start out with a Tag cut from using the Silhouette - any tag can be used - cut your own
To cover the tag, tear and sponge pieces of My Minds Eye Pattern Paper adhering it to the tag with Gel Medium
The Doll
stamp from Prima is stamped on the same My Minds Eye Pattern Paper, and
paper pieced - all edges are sponged with Ranger Gathered Twigs Distress
Ink, color was added with
STAEDTLER Ergo Soft Watercolor Pencils
Add additional stamping to the tag using the Border stamps from Prima and a
sentiment from Verses, then add pops of color to the tag by
dabbing Teal/White Acrylic Paint through the
Just a Trace Tiny Dangle Stencil.
Place the Doll image onto the tag for placement, then sponged Gathered Twigs Distress Ink through the
Just a Trace Tiny Ornament Stencil for added interest.
To finish
the tag, adhere the Doll image with Gel Medium, then distressed the
edges and sponge on Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, and swipe some Gesso
over the tag to tone it down a bit. To embellish add some Vintage
Seam Binding, button and a charm.
