Winter Wonderland

Hello Happy Scrappers

Hope you are all well.

Well, with the one night of snow fall we had in Milton Keynes, I created a Double page
layout of the last winter we had ... it snowed four times in MK through the winter months.

This is my Beautiful Winter Wonderland......

Family and snow

Products:

Foamiran flowers (handmade)
Texture paste
Tear drop gems
Die cut embellishments
lace
Embossing pad
White embossing powder
Scraps of paper

Process:

I stencilled some shapes on the patterned paper and glued down scraps of paper

I then stamped Snow flake stamp with embossing pad and added white embossing podwer and
heated

I made the Foamrin flowers and decided on the layout

I added my embellishments, flowers, lace, die cuts and gems and glued them down

I did this for both pages

Some close ups

Added my photos and this is my Winter Wonderland

Thank you for visiting and I hope you create your Wonderland.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

Hello Happy Scrappers

Hope you are having a crafty day or just being inspired by the magic around us.

Today I am sharing the Christmas gift boxes I made for the Family - Vintage Typewriter and
Phonograph.

My hubby took some lovely photos of the gift boxes and my Aunts house

Below are a few photos of the awesome gift boxes and a link to the Tara's Craft studio

who inspired me to make them. I  added a few changes so I could add little xmas gifts inside

Surprise.... 😃

This is the first one I made - Vintage Typewriter

As I created it I cut templates of the sides and panels and the bases. So it would be easier
to make the next few.

These Vintage Type writers were made for the ladies

Below is the gift box I made for the men - Phonograph

On Tara's craft tutorial for the Phonograph, she designed it with a draw (as per my first one above)
but i then changed mine to a full box and the top with the vynal piece I turned into a hinged lid so i could fit more little gifts inside.

Please click on the link below for this awesome project and check out her shabby chic designs.

Tara  creates amazing projects and they are awe inspiring - please pop over to her blog and

A Big thank you to my Hubby who is my biggest supporter, whether he is driving me around to find emergency stash, glues etc and searching the web for all the little odds and ends I need. And who helped me patiently choose the little gifts to go inside. Love you babe

Thank you for stopping by - Hope you enjoyed and have a lovely day further

Mystique - Mixed Media

Hello Happy Scrappers

Hope you are all warm and having an inspirational weekend

Today I am sharing my latest mixed media project with you.

I really enjoy using the mixed media mediums and experimenting with
backgrounds, colour mediums, textures and embellishments.

Products:

Canvas
White Gesso - Pebeo
Modeling paste - Pebeo
Matte Gel - Liquitex
Stencils
Mixed media Artsy stones - Imagination crafts
Alchemy wax - Jade - Imagination crafts
Achemy wax - Bronze - Imagination crafts
Embellishments
Flowers
Metal chain
Black Gesso - Pebeo
Gauze
Crackle texture paste - Platinum - Finnabair
Used paint brushes
Die cut mixed media background
Lindys Starburst  - Whale watch blue
Lindys Magicals - Mission brown bells

Process:

I glued down the smaller canvas onto the larger one.
I used Matte Gel medium and glued the gauze around the smaller canvas
to create texture and flow from the small canvas onto the big one.
I created background on the small and large canvas with Modelling paste and stencils.
I placed the stencilled paste randomly on the canvases.

I then used Platinum crackle paste off the stencilled paste and spread randomly on the canvases.

I let this all dry naturally, to ensure the crackles develope properly.

Once all dried, I glued down  the paint brushes, embellishments, stones and flowers.
I added the die cuts and metal chains over the brushes.

I used Lindy's sprays to colour the project and then add the Alchemy wax to highlight
the embellishments.

I used black gesso to lightly wipe accross the edge of the canvases and crackled paste.

Always so much fun playing with mediums

You can never make a mistake, so you can add colours and textures and make it darker or lighter.
If you feel you have made the project colours to dark, then add a little white gesso with a sponge or
brush.

I have entered my Mixed media project into the Mixed Media Place January Challenge
