Happy Terrific Tuesday.
Today I wanted to make a mixed media item. I did this in my Journal.
I love trying new techniques and see what will match and what won't -
hence my Mixed media Journal.
I then do it again on chipboard backing or canvas block to share in my
house or as a gift.
Here I painted the page with White Gesso. I stuck down some strips of
script patterned paper. I sprayed the page with dye ink sprays ( check out
pinterest to make your own) I then used textured paste with stencils for
the background. I stuck down different types of lace ribbon in the centre
of the page.
I then painted it with Gesso. You can use texture paste, cement paste or
modelling paste for the stencils. I then mixed glitter with the textured paste
and put a layer down again with a stencil , partially over the previous texture
layer and pattern paper. I used dye sprays again over the gesso'd lace .
Some areas I sprayed alot of dye ink spray and allowed it to run across the page.
You can add blending solution for longer drips. I added some chipboard, painted
black with distress paint (black soot). I dotted the chipboard with dimensional
Glaze randomly.
Hope you like it.
As usual if I find any interesting tutorials I will definitely share on ScrapSenSations
Facebook page or my blog.
Have a happy scrapin' day
Candace
