Birthday Boy - Big 16

Good morning Happy Scrappers

So yip another birthday to finish off 2017.

My youngest son turned 16 - not the baby anymore 😲

To start the page I used the Gears and cogs stencil from Tim Holtz and inked with Brilliance white.

I used crackle paste through the Mini Cell Theory stencil to create some texure in the background.

I die cut gears and "Happy birthday"using turquoise and gold mirror paper (Sara Signature range)

I used tags from a Tim Holts paper range and cut out some arrow heads and tails.

I chalked all the edges with Tim holtz Vintage photo distress ink, except the gear die cuts.

I love the colours and how this page turned out.

I also prefer to use black and white photos or adjust the colour of the photo to be "paler"

Exciting 18 - Birthday

Hello Happy Scrappers

Long time no post .... but so busy and time just flies.... 2017 gone by so quickly.

Time to catch up on a few pages I have created. Starting with my Eldest son's birthday...

The big 18. I just cant believe he is 18 . Just the other day he was a tiny tot.

I folded my pattern paper in half and embossed it with a Spellbinders cogs n gears embossing folder.

I die cut some gears in glitter paper and added some tags and cut outs from Time Holtz
paper range. I die cut "Happy Birthday"in white card stock.

I also stamped background images and white embossed some stamped images.

I had so much fun building up the layers on this page.

Here are a few close ups.
