Sea Shells by the Sea Shore

Welcome back happy Scrappers

Hope you had a wonderful week full of inspiration and creativity

Today I am sharing my Layout I created when we travelled to the Sea

I love the sea, I love watching the waves roll over the sand and the sound is so
calming.

But back to the layout....

As mentioned in my last post, I created the Sea Tags and used them in my layout.

First I stamped the background with some stamps: Clocks, Script, Postcard and Steampunk
Hotair balloon.

I then painted Clear Gesso over the whole page.

I then used Lindy's Starburst spray: Whale watch blue and I added splatters
of Ranger Distress Paint and rubbed some with my finger in some places.

I coloured the printed Seashells and Seahorses with Lindy's Magicals: Mission Bells Brown,
Bells of ireland Green, Yellow Rose of Texas and Lindy's Starbust Spray: Whale watch Blue

Embellishments: I used Dry moss (white), Doilies, Die cut swirls, Sea Tags (see previous post), Flowers - Large Roses  and Small Roses and Lace and I then prepared the layout to
see where Iw as going to place everything.

I then distressed the edges of the photos and inked with Distress ink - Vintage photo. I matted the
photos onto brown cardstock and distressed the edges as well and inked the edges with
Distress ink - Vintage photo

I coloured the floweres with Lindy's Starbust sprays: Cosmopolitan Pink, dried the flower and
used My Mojito Green with a thin paint brush to wipe the edges of the flowers -
Beautiful shimmer.

Once I adhered all the elements in place I used Rangers Liquid pearls to add accents to the
seashells, seahorses and Starfish.

I followed the same steps for 2nd layout below

Here are some closeups:

I think the colours turned out awesome.

I entered Layout 1 in the More than words Monthly challenge.

FRIDAY NIGHT FUN #7 - TAG-A-LICIOUS

Hellooo Happy Scrappers

Hope you are enjoying this lovely weather in the UK

Today I am sharing my Friday night Fun with you - Tags of the sea

To start, I printed some images of seashells, starfish, jelly fish and seahorses.
I used ink and a dauber to colour my images

I used the die cut net as texture and glued it onto the tags. I then painted it with White Gesso

I added some dry moss

and painted it the Moss and tags with white gesso again.

I placed some of the embellishments on the tags to see where I wanted to put them and
what to mix and match.

I then glued some elements down (which has already been painted with White Gesso.

I then got my Lindy's Stardust sprays and Magicals Ready (some magicals I mixed with
water already) Starburst Spray: Salt water taffy, Fuzzy navel peach, Cosmopolitan Pink,
A bit o bubbly, Whale watch blue, Sea Grass green. Magicals: Bells of ireland green,
yellow rose of texas, Mission bells brown and Bachelor button blue.

I used Memento Black ink for the water droplets stamp, Ranger Liquid
pearls, Versa magic teardrop ink - Jumbo Java.

I then started with adding layers of colours until I was happy with the mix and tensity.

I did it again with the next tag.

I made 4 tags in total. I added some gems to some of the tags and some pearl dots
with the Ranger liquid pearls. I added the water drops/bubble stamps and highlited
the drops/bubbles with a white marker.

Here are some close ups:

so here are all the tags I made

Lastly I added sendiments

I entered the above tag into the Monthly Mini Challenge for More than words.
Please click on the image below for details and inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the post.

Stay tuned for the next post where I will by using the Tags in my Layout.

Have fun, see inspiration in everything and scrap, craft and create.

Night out Bowling

Hello Happy Scrappers

So nice to have you stop by again.

Today I am sharing a quick post on a one page layout I created.

It was quick and easy but so effective.

We all went out Tenpin bowling for the day - so much fun.

I layered some patterned paper and used Word Chippies which were painted with either white or black acrylic paint. I cut out some epherema and printed some Tenpins and additional phrases.

I then glued down some photo mats and Wala!   My page is ready for my photos 😝

Thank you for stopping by.

I hope you are sharing an awesome day with your family.

Happy Scrappin'

Say cheese ... Little Cousins

Hello Happy Scrappers

Hope you are having an awesome Weekend and crafting to your hearts content.

The weather in the UK has been lovely this weekend.

I am sharing my layout I created using photos of our little niece and nephew in SA.
How adorable are these little cousins.

I was inspired by the Moodboard by MIXED MEDIA PLACE :

Mixed Media Place - May Challenge

Such delicate pink and blue colours and so inspiring with a bicycle for a boy and Pink
roller skates for a girl. When I saw this mood board and the photos I received I had to
create a layout.

So here we go....

I stamped some images on patterned paper using Tsukineko Memento Dye Ink Pad - Tuxedo
and the folllowing Texture stamps (click on the text for images)

I then painted the page with Clear Gesso and used the heat gun to dry.

I stencilled different types of paste alternatively through the stencil - I used Prima Marketing Finnabair Texture - Platinum Crackle and DecoArt Media Texture Sand Paste

I used the heat gun to dry the back of the page where the paste is and then left it to dry it naturally while I get the other embellishments ready.

roses and the lace doilies. I used Hobbycraft Ink pad - Metallic Pink and Metallic Blue to ink
up the  Chipboard Words and die cut embellishments.

When the Texture pastes were dry, I added Lindy's Starburst Sprays -  Salt Water TaffyWhale Watch Blue and My Mojito Green, making sure I dry between each layer of spray.

I then layered all the embellishments and matted the photos with carton box pieces to
lift them slightly. I glued everything into place.

Here is a close up to see the texture of the paste and the shimmery flowers
