Thank you Card

I'm Back .........

After a loong break from my blog, I'm back.
With our move to the UK from SA, it has been a whirlwind of nerves, excitement and wonder.
Still waiting for hubby to come over once all is sorted in SA with the house, sooo shouldn't be long now :) - can't wait.

So to start off my blog now in the UK, I made a "Thank you" Card

We are staying with my Sister in Milton Keynes, and she has taken us sight seeing and to places that will be remembered for time and time again - Of course I will be scrapping that too.

But a few weeks ago we stayed in overnight on London at a Hotel, called "Cheval - Knightsbridge"
It was an absolute treat, it is an absolutely beautiful place. Highly recommended.

So to say Thank you for arranging this, to a new Friend: I made this Thank you card

And I made an envelope as well for the card to slide into

Hope you enjoyed and thank you for stopping by

I will be posting soon again, as i have finished a Mini album, and cant wait to share it with you

Hope you all have a fabulous week ahead

Mirror Mirror on the Door

Home Improvement

Hi All

So......I needed to cover a hole on the Cupboard Door in my Spare room
after the repaint, I had four mirror tiles spare in storage. But when I stuck them on the
door they looked so bare and unfinished, so I decided to create my own
border and bought thick Twine and layered the twine around the border
of the Mirror, and then I layered Twine on the connecting mirror tiles

And.......Wallah

I am so happy with how it turned out. I was so tempted to go and do
the Mirrors in the bathrooms too. But decided against it and leave it unique
to the bedroom

Love these Home improvements that we can do ourselves and are pretty
penny wise

Hope to see you all soon

Mixed Media with Acrylic Paints

Hi all

Hope you are keeping warm in this Wintery South Africa.

This weekend I decided to try some mixed media with
Acrylic paints.

I saw a video on one of the Craft Youtube channels, where they use
a Geli plate with acrylic paints, as soon as I can find it again I
will definitely load a link - credit must go to this crafter:

SO I used an acetate sheet instead ( I dont have a Geliplate yet)
I blobbed some different colour acrylic paints on the sheet and then
placed it on my white cardstock. Gave it abit of a swishy swirl so the
area I wanted to work on was all covered.

I then dried the paint with the heat gun, stamped and stencilled with gesso
and black ink. When dry I then splattered abit of watered down acrylic paints,
did the same with Gesso. I painted my frame and stuck down some ribbon,
frayed gauze, flowers and chippies (coloured in gold)

I then painted foam letters and placed them in the frame "ART"

I then decided to add little beads (pastel colours)

I inked the flowers with some gold and touches of Gesso.

This is a real Mixture of mixes that just came out Awesome

Real ART from being Real Creative :)

Hope you enjoyed

Snap It

FOCUS on Whats important

I made this layout about a week or two ago
and I now have a chance to blog it....

#CELEB8
#CELEBR8ROCKS
#SNAPITCELEBR8

I love this new bulk pack I bought. It is the Snap It range from Celebr8
Papers, embellishments and chippies are awesome.
I did a quick single LO, I couldn't wait to try it... so i dont even have a photo
in yet :)

I used the honeycomb mask, Gesso and Celebr8 products.

Just love it. I will make another page to match this one so I can have a
Double layout.

Pure Love

There is no other love, like the love for a child.

We were out for Hubby's birthday and as usual I was taking
Photos of every one and everything.

When I went through the photos, this one caught my eye, of my Brother and my Nephew.
My Nephew is absolutely adored by his parents, and enjoy every moment with this
little miracle - (Eventually Blessed with this baby boy) -  IMAGINE that!

I love photos like this, cos they don't stay small and they outgrow (literally) the lap.

I sit and think to myself: Can you Imagine that

With this photo in mind, I created the Mixed media page below:

Used most of #Celebr8 chippies, masks with texture paste and their paper (Snap it)
I also used #Simplestories #aCharmedlife "bits and pieces"
I used Gesso first for the background and then the edges of the layers of paper.
I layered, textured, inked and painted and then placed it all on the page.

This was a quick project, with no idea what to do. So..... I just started with Gesso
and started layering and before I new it, I had this awesome page -

A BRILLIANT MIXED MESS - Pure love, belief and happiness

Good day happy Scrappers

Here again .. in such a short time... to share one of the many
Projects I was busy with.

I made a canvas using Masks, texture paste, stamps, Celebr8 chippies , flowers from Celebr8 Snap it embellishment pack and stamped acetate.

I had so much fun and it turned out better then I expected.

I love the products that our local wholesalers supply, awesome quality and fun.

I stuck, textured, Gesso'd and stamped, then I sprayed with Dye ink spray, painted and
highlited...

#celebr8
#celebr8rocks

I used all pastel colours, I Gesso'd the flowers where necessary to make them lighter.
The sentiment is painted with Black soot Dabber and the acetate is stamped with a butterfly using Memento Ink pad - Tuxedo black

Hope you enjoyed..... I really enjoyed making this

Clean Mess

Good day All you Fabulous Crafters

I have been quite on the blog front, been busy with all my projects.

When I get a bee in my bonnet and I want to try something,
I just want to finish it and see what I have created.....

My first project this last week, is on Canvas:

I enjoy mixed media and we all get to this step, and then we ink and spray and
brush and highlight and spray again. I decided to stop here and...

Let your IMAGINATION GO WILD ....

Just think of what could be done to this Clean Mess.

I hope you like what you see.

I used masks, texture paste, chippies, doily, flowers and resin molds

I stuck everything down and painted it with a couple of coats of Gesso and
Acrylic white paint.

I wrote the work Imagine in the resin mold and filled it with Dimensional glaze

I just love it, it came out so well, and is perfect for a neutral room or for a gift.

I have entered this into the following competition: Click on the pic for a link to their site.
The DT's have some incredible and inspiring projects.

Thank you for stopping by.

Pop in soon for a whole lot of new projects that I have been busy with

Cia for now
