Friday Night Fun - Crackled up

Hello Happy Scrappers

Sooo happy to see you here again.

Today I am sharing some Friday Night Creative Fun with you.
These are little projects that I create on a Friday night - relaxing
after a long busy week.

The first project I am sharing with you is the Crackled background
I created with PVA glue and Acrylic paint/Gesso. This is on a previous
post.

To begin I painted the background of the journal page/cardstock with
black #pebeo #gesso.

I then painted a layer of PVA glue over the dry gesso. Once the PVA
glue was tacky (transparent but still sticky) I painted a layer of white
acrylic paint over the PVA layer and let this dry.

As the layers dry the cracks start to appear.

I then added some Stencilling with modeling/texture paste

I then added #paperartsy #infusions and some water and created
the colourful background

The next two projects I painted with Mushroom acrylic paint and once
dried I added the PVA glue and then Black Gesso for the cracks.

I used #Modgepodge #Dimensionalglaze in the silicone molds.
I use this glaze when I make small delicate resins

I used Alchemy was to highlight the edges and relief on this mini bucket.

I hope you enjoyed the post.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you feel inspired to create and craft.

Take care

Surrounded by Love - Family

Hello Happy Crafters.

I hope you are all well and keeping safe.

I have been so busy with creating projects that the time has just flown by, and I did not realise
how long it has been since I posted on my Blog.

So today I am sharing a layout I created with a photo I took with my family when
Lockdown began.  This is something that needs to be recorded, this is a world wide
event, that has affected everyone globally.

Fortunately my eldest son returned home just before lockdown and it has been wonderful
to have a full home and all of us together.

Now to get started.

First I prepped my page with #pebeobindex , you can use clear Gesso or Modge podge.
Then I used #memento Tuxedo black ink through a stencil and Modelling paste through
another stencil. I dry brushed #pebeo white Gesso over the stencilled paste.

I added Lindy's #magical Poppin pink over the stencilled paste and added water
I spread it where I wanted to highlight the stencilled paste.

I mixed #infusions Royal Blood with white Gesso and laidthe stencil over the Paste
and highlighted the pattern with the blue coloured Gesso.

I then made some #foamiran flowers:

I then die cut some embellishments and coloured them with lindy's #starburstinkspray Sea
Grass Green. I then embossed the die cuts with #sarasignature Green embossing powder. I
randomly added embossing ink and powder to the die cuts.

I put all my embellishments and flowers on the page to check the layout

I raided my resin/clay moulds I made and to see what I could add to my Layout.
Very happy with what I decided to use.

I then adhered everything down using my all time fave glue: #bostik all purpose clear glue.
I added splatters of white acrylic paint and #imaginationcrafts Mixed media Artsy stones -
Medium and Small. To finish off the flowers I added Glitzen Glamour Crystaline liquid glitter
to the edges of the flower petals.
I printed my quote/words I wanted to use and inked the edges and glued it down, and Wala!!

SURROUNDED BY FAMILY
SURROUNDED BY LOVE!

I had so much fun creating this layout and making the flowers.

Here are some close up photos:

Thank you for popping in and I hope you feel inspired and create your special layout.

Please keep safe
