NEW YEAR - NEW BEGINNINGS

 Hello Happy Crafters

Hope you are all well and safe and enjoyed the little snow we got this last week.
Today I am sharing my journal page I created and inspired by the More Than words
monthly challenge.

I created a vintage background for the past but added the Butterfly that represents the change
and becoming something beautiful and new.

Please click on the morethanwordschallenge image below for the challenge and the inspiration
from the design team.

Process:

I started with painting the pages with Gesso and then adding Washi tape and then added
#Stamperia Crackle Paste.

Once the crackle paste was dry I stencilled additional background with modelling paste. I
added colour with #Lindysstarburstsprays

Once I was done and happy with the colours and the pages were dry I added the #stamperia
#antiquing paste all over the pages and then wiped off the excess.

I diecut tags and decorated with different washi tape. I stamped and diecut the Butterfly.
I used the same  Lindy's sprays to splatter colour onto the Butterfly and tags.

I used the washi tape to make the butterfly antennae and used black cotton to
decorate with the tags

Here are a few closeups

Thank you for joining me and sharing in my creation

RUSTY STEAMPUNK SEAHORSE

 Hello Happy Crafters

I hope you are all well and you are all staying safe.

Today I am sharing my Rusty Steampunk Seahorse Mixed Media Project with you

I had so much fun making this project and trying out new techniques and products.

Products

#fabrikadecoru Rustic paint , Blue embossing powder, #Stamperia seahorse mould, handmade
clay moulds, die cuts cut on #sizzix Bigshot machine, paper flowers/roses, large pearls - flat back,
Fabrika Decoru powder - white gold to brush over the pearls at the end.

Process

I pulled out some home made clay/resin embellishments

I decided on my layout and the embellishments and die cuts and adhered all
in place.

I used #Mixedmedia ink spray on the flowers

I covered the project in white Gesso and then Brown Rustic paint. I brushed some
brown rustic paint over the flowers to give them texture.
I highlighted some areas with Pumpkin #Rusticpaint

I went over some of the Pumpkin rustic paint with brown rustic paint to tone down
the orange.

I added some Blue embossing powder and heat embossed on some of the raised areas to
highlight

I then brushed some White gold powder over the pearls to highlight.
All done.

Thank you for popping in and I hope you are inspired to create your own Steampunk /
Rustic project.

Stay safe

Be True to You - Journal page

 Hello Happy Scrappers

I hope you all had a good start to your new year.

Today I am sharing a Journal page I created using #adirondack #alcoholinks.

I have not used these in a while and they looked oh so lonely 😋

Products:

I die cut embellishments using my metal dies and #sizzix bigshot. These were
coloured using embossing powders.
I also used flower embellishments that I made using a mould and clay.
the flower moulds were coloured with alcohol inks.
I used stamps at the end of the process to stamp around the coloured background.

Process:

I added background with black ink and stencil. I then sealed the pages with #pebeo
Bindex. I added texture with stencil and white texture paste.

I then decided on my layout to see where the photo and embellishments would be
best placed and what journal words I would be using. The image and words were printed
from the  internet.

I then coloured the background with the Alcohol inks and solutions to spread the ink
I used a paintbrush to spread and mix the ink as well. I used the colours I did to match
the image.

Once the inks were dry, I adhered the photo and embellishments and added a few stamps
I added white Gesso lightly over the texture paste using my finger to highlight the texture.
and Wallaah!

Here are some close-ups

Thank you for popping by and I hope you are inspired to create your own project

Take care

Covid19 Christmas 2020 Layout

 Hello Happy Scrappers

Happy new year - wishing you all a happy, safe and prosperous 2021.
I know I haven't posted for a while but I have been creating and posting it on
Instagram - please check it out Scrapsensations IG

My first post for 2021 is a layout I created for our Christmas 2020 - at home,
in our bubble. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Process:

I selected the patterned paper I wanted to use in the background and the top layer.
I then tore holes into the top paper. I distressed and inked the edges of both papers
I then cut out diamond shapes of patterned paper and distressed and inked the edges
on these as well. I then decided on the layout - which changed ! 😁

I then used Lindy's Starbust spray to colour around the triangle shapes (used a
pencil to outline the shapes). I used clock stencils and black ink to add to the background

I made my own foamiran flowers and coloured the centre with the same Lindy's
spray I used on the background. i also added Robbon flowers I made myself.
I used my metal dies and cut our some embellishments

I added stencilling with #finnabair tapestry stencil and home made texture past.
Once the paste was dry I used a  #Lindy's starbust spray - Blue Hawaiian blue.
I then decided on the layout and where my embellishment and flowers would go. I used
#dustyattic chipboards and coloured them with gold acrylic paint.

Once everything was adhered into place I added some white glitter to the flowers and
small and medium art stones.

I used the colours I did as we have Christmas in Winter and it has been very cold but no
snow yet. the counties around us have had snow.

Here are a few close-ups:

I hope you enjoyed the layout and thank you for popping in

Please take care
