I know it has been a while, but the time has just flown and its Summer 😃
Today I am sharing a “Kodac” moment.
My son was playing on his tablet and he looked up and saw me with the camera
Gave me a few poses – This rarely happens so this is a Moment Captured.
I had so
much fun making this page, using different mixed media elements and some
Resin embellishments
I made.
I have
listed the products below
So to start here are the steps:
I mixed some Jade Alchemy wax with White Gesso to make the colour paste
I want for
the stencil. I cut out my photos and matted them on card stock. I pulled out the
resin
embellishments I wanted to use.
I prepped my paper with clear gesso and dried the page. I dry brushed
some white gesso
on the page. I stenciled my Jade mix and using a different stencil I used white
modelling
paste.
Let the first layer of paste dry.
I used Black gesso with a sponge on a stencil to break the light
colours, I added strips of
Mutton cloth. I placed some elements on the right of the page to get an idea of where
the
photos will go and where I want to place the big part of the ensemble and the small
collection.
some of my embellishments (die cut from card stock/mirror card and resins). I
stuck down
a few small strips of red washi tape.
I covered the photos so I could add the spray inks (Lindy’s), Lindy’s Magicals
and using a
brush to apply and spritzing with water, and some splatters with Black Gesso. Use a heat
gun dry where I could so the page does not become to wet. And by drying the water quickly
with the inks the patterns that form are amazing.
I used Alchemy wax – Jade and Bronze, to highlight the black resins and
die cuts. I added
a few transparent word stickers and some printed words (I like to copy words or sayings
I
like and then print them when I need them – comes in handy to have your own ephemera)
And Ta daaaa…… Just
love how it came out.
Here are a few close ups. I added some self adhesive half back pearls (white) and used the
Bronze Alchemy wax to colour them. And lastly dry brushed with white Gesso.
I hope you enjoyed your visit and feel inspired to go and create
something special.
Please see the products below (I buy most products from Amazon.co.uk and hobbycraft).
Thank you for popping over and wishing you a Creative weekend.
Loves
Candace
